Healing Point Meaning

Healing Point Meaning

What Do “Healing Point” And The Logo Mean?

When I was considering names for my practice back in 2007, I had a hard time coming up with a name that conveyed what I wanted it to convey. I told a friend my thoughts, and she said, “What about Healing Point?” I instantly knew it was right for my practice. Why? At the time, my practice was strictly acupuncture, and I saw “Healing Point” as having two meanings. First, it brought to mind the literal points used in acupuncture—points that bring healing. But, second, I also saw it dealing with time, as in “this is the healing point of your life.”

The logo came easily to me. The hand touching the point conveys a personalness, and then we see the ripples outward from that point—making a change in one area leads to changes in other areas, too. Cause, effect. Everything you do has the potential to make powerful or subtle changes elsewhere in your life.

Over time, my practice evolved to focus more on Functional Medicine than acupuncture (changing to Healing Point Wellness instead of Healing Point Acupuncture & Herbs), and while I don’t utilize acupuncture points so much anymore, I still love to help clients who are seeking for this to be the healing point of their lives. They are tired of not feeling well and no one being able to help them. They are tired of not being heard. I am here to listen and help.

For those who are interested in why my practice evolved to focus more on Functional Medicine, I’ll explain that in another post!
